April 16, 2000Forgive the lack of updates, however I have been truant in the my duties as updater of this page. So here's what's been happening in bulleted form.
March 14, 2000With very light promotion the Bring Back Kirk Newsletter has received 51 subscribers! Very good number! Now if we can get that to a couple of hundred, we should be cooking something wery, wery good. <g> And we haven't even sent our first issue yet. Neat. :-) SyFy World and TrekWeb.com have placed reports of us on their websites just today. They will definitely be noted in our newsletter! Thanks definitely go to a personal friend of mine, Mike Hinman, and Steve Krutzler, whom I haven't had a pleasure of meeting as yet, for featuring the BBKN on their respective sites! TrekKirk.com and Jan's Bring Back Kirk Websites are now listed in the Affiliates section. They have placed both links leading back to the BBKN site, as well as our sign-up subscription box. If you own a BBK site, and wish to place a link leading to us and our sign-up box, please feel free to do so -- and tell us. My personal website and the Bring Back Kirk Newsletter's host, the Bring Back Kirk Information and Opinion Center has now been given OFFICIAL status by Robert, webmaster of both the Bring Back Kirk site and the Official William Shatner Fan Club's site. Check out the news blurb here. Thanks to Marc for telling me first, before I even got to my BBKNewsletter screenname! Jason Turner's BBK UK official site will now be doing the updates on both the BBK US and BBK UK sites news sections.
March 12, 2000The Bring Back Kirk U.K. Site has placed an page about the newsletter. It isn't fancy, but it does the trick. :-) Jason Turner, official of the United Kingdom's Bring Back Kirk extension, and webmaster of the BBKUK Site is to be interviewed by the operator of the Battlestar Galactica Resurrection site. We hope to have excerpts of the interview as soon as the interview has been conducted! This news page was added to site. This is because I want to keep everything simple -- and stupid. ;-) Frequently Asked Questions updated! I've added a few more FAQs to the page, which pertain to the newsletter's length and questions on how to get the subscription code.
March 5-11, 2000Official Newsletter being promoted. Please tell your friends about this new newsletter -- and of the Bring Back Kirk movement! Newsletter will not come out the 13th, rather it will come out the 20th. This will give us time to strengthen our subscriber numbers! The most warmest of congratulations are in order! Bob and Steph, two of our own fellow BBKers, are getting married! Congrats you two!
March 4, 2000Supplemental: FAQ Section has been activated. In addition, I have printed an important notice about this newsletter. I am currently working on the FAQ for the Official Bring Back Kirk Newsletter, it should be operational later today.
March 1, 2000Official Newsletter begins construction. Planning for letter writing phases has also been begun. A tentative schedule is in the process of being created.
February 28, 2000The listbot having the discussion list for the purposes of the betterment of the BBK has been deemed unofficial to make way for a more official method of communication, this Newsletter. |
